Charge for data linkage/safe have activity

LRSH operates on a cost recover basis and wherever possible cost should be written into grant applications. We welcome enquiries from Researchers as early as possible in their project planning. There are separate access charges for some research datasets and for use of the analytic platform.

Bespoke Service

The cost for LRSH activity will depend on the project requirements, allowing for duration of project and skill/support required

Standard costs will include the individual project requirement for the following:

• Research Coordinator time
• Technical/Programming/Data  management
• Storage/maintenance
• Administrator time

Additional cost for use of the Analytic Platform

NHS Lothian Research Safe Haven works with eDRIS to facilitate hosting of Lothian projects on the National Safe Haven Analytic Platform. LRSH staff support these projects whilst using the platform and are responsible for undertaking disclosure checking of any outputs from the analytic platform.

Costs for use of the analytic platform (‘Compute and disclosure’) are published on the eDRIS website. This charge is payable directly to eDRIS.

NHS Lothian Research Safe Haven also works with the other NHS Research Scotland accredited Safe Havens in Scotland to facilitate access to their accredited analytic platforms (Grampian, Greater Glasgow and Clyde and Tayside). The LRSH team will liaise with these nodes to setup and arrange transfer of data and set up disclosure control arrangements.

Again, the charge for using one of these analytic platforms is payable directly to that node.
